Hey all, I've got another character build of mine to show. It's a Sword and Shield Warrior build using the Champion and Berserker specializations. I chose Champion and Berserker over Reaver and Templar since the C/B combo works better for my SnS tank build. I'm also the only one tanking this time around and building aggro, instead of Alistair from my previous play throughs. With Champion, you can use War Cry to knockdown nearby enemies and Rally to buff your party with an attack and defense bonus. With Berserker, it's pretty self explanatory: go nuts and deal more damage than usual using Berserk and the Final Blow talent. You can go Sword and Shield, Dual Swords, or Two-Handed Sword for a Warrior, but if you're planning on controlling the battlefield and building up the aggro, I recommend going SnS for the talents. I maxed out my SnS talents ASAP. Having Shield Wall activated will give your Warrior immunity to knockdown attacks (only if you unlocked Shield Expertise). Shield Mastery gives you additional benefits for Shield Wall. As for offense, Overpower and Assault is the deadly combo I always use. Overpower hits the enemy three times and almost always stuns them, then I follow it up with Assault as it's a 4-hit combo. They both recharge pretty quickly too. For stats, I didn't bother with Constitution; instead, I went for Dexterity, Strength, and Willpower. With Dexterity, you'll have a higher chance of dodging attacks. In my opinion, not getting hit at all is better than being able to take more hits. Therefore, focus more on Dexterity rather than Constitution, especially if you're planning on being the tank. Focus on Strength first, then share points between Willpower and Dexterity. For armor, I'm ALWAYS about the looks, so I went with the Legion armor set with the Legion Shield. The set gives you bonus to damage as well as Constitution. Ideally, you'd want to use the Blood Dragon Armor or Wade's Superior Dragonbone set. For one-handed Swords, the best in the game would be Starfang, followed by The Keening Blade and Topsider's Honor. You can get Starfang by a random encounter on the Ferelden map. You take the meteorite metal you find to the weapon's smith at the Warden's Keep (DLC needed). Each weapon can be Enchanted, so put Lightning or Fire for additional damage, or runes that can hinder your enemies.

ikoasay Says:
Jun 25, 2010 - a tank only needs about 32 str (req. for assault), u can then wear all those +str and +all stat to raise ur str to 42 to wear the armor u want, though i prefer juggernaut set which only need 38 str, Effort set is also very good bcuz of the +15% healing effect. it's then up to u how u balance ur con and dex, u can add wisdom if you want. u also need taunt and maybe u want to replace combat tactics with poison bcuz coating ur weapon with poison and throwing grenades is baddass. XD

Jul 4, 2010 - @Echoasity You get the dragon bone armor by killing the high dragon at the urn of sacred ashes place. I don't exactly remember the legion armor but I think its all found in the deep roads during the recruit the dwarves quest, I could be wrong about that though.
Nothica1 Says:
Jul 5, 2010 - where did you find champion manual?
JekNex Says:
Jul 7, 2010 - @Nothica1 you can get the champion manual from Arl Eamon Guerrin after the Urn of Sacred Ashes quest. Arl Eamon Guerrin will be cured of his sickness after you bring him a pinch of the sacred ashes, he will then give you the manual. (sorry if this sounded confusing)

Jul 16, 2010 - Is there a healer mage in this game that already has some creation spells? I only have morrigan and she is dps. I often die because of running out of health, but with a healer mage this problem would be fixed.
PrisOwner16 Says:
Jul 18, 2010 - @siilentghost 2H of course. S&S is for defence (tanking), while 2handers are good for dealing out damage with slow, devistating attacks.
